Close the hood and redo this same test in a regular environment with outside temperatures. Willing to bet that Injen doesn't enjoy that hot air from the engine bay. Every CAI I've own in the past always tries to get away from the engine whether it goes closer to the ground or more towards the front of the car... I've never seen a "good" intake sit in the engine like that and produce power. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like from my view. I'd want my air pulling from that front bumper all day unless someone finds a better way. Not to mention I've never owned an intake that was metal either.
