With the possible exception of a secondary boost gauge and A/F gauge, all monitoring can be taken care of within Ecutek in the logging. But given that you have to have a laptop mounted up and running (with the OBD-II cable hanging down right above your go-faster leg), I can understand that it's not that useful for DD usage.
From our testing with a/f, egt, knock-ears and such on the car, the standard sensor readout to ecutek is fairly good. Boost gauges are fun to look at, but to be honest when the car is a max boost, you won't have much attention span left over to be looking at gauges. I do run a knock link, though, as knock is our primary concern and that's something I need to pay attention to at all times, being the designated crash test dummy for the kit here.
