Yeah, for the most part they are. I'm looking into using the torque app on an android device, such as the Nexus 7 and mounting it in my car as a gauge pod, currently trying to find out if it supports aftermarket turbos for boost indication, but from my understanding it should. Nice thing is the very easy install compared to gauges, and a lot cheaper, and access to A lot more gauges that you can possibly fit in your car (without making it look trashy anyways) You can find a little more basic info about it here or google it lol;
