Regarding centrifugals - that used to be the stereotype of turbos too, but modern implementations don't have to be that way. You can size them for max boost at low speed and simply bypass when the limit is reached.

Yes and no. A positive displacement supercharger is going to make more torque low and mid range than a centrifugal type.
A cent can have a bypass to bleed but then you are moving it out of its efficiency range as the rpm of the blower will eventually be too high.
I thought you were seriously asking me a question. If you feel like you already know the answer than move on. Certain people actually want a cent. because the boost curve is linear. That's why we are reading this thread and not surprised at the lack of torque from a cent. We like its efficiency and n/a like power delivery.
