As far as your picture when is the publication date on it. I believe we first saw the TRD USA exhaust back in Feb/March/April during one of the press events.

OK, if that's when
you first saw this exhaust then that supports my claim that it isn't Borla. Because I saw this exhaust last year. I remember this exhaust on Jack Hollis' Scion in US press releases earlier this year and thought it was cool how he got a hold of an exhaust that had evidence of being developed overseas. It appears in various parts of this video from 12/2/2011. The 1:14 time stamp shows this exhaust being evaluated by people speaking in a European tongue on a Japanese racetrack.

Very few aftermarket companies (namely GReddy, HKS, and a few more) were given early access to parts development for this car and I don't recall Borla ever being on that list. Let alone those companies didn't have access til months past December 2011. Borla's stuff didn't come out til SEMA and I highly doubt their sales were held by an embargo considering their exhausts still came out before the TRD exhaust.
This isn't the first time I've seen people on this forum state TRD Exhaust = Borla with no evidence to back it. This exact same misinformation has spread on other Toyota/Scion forums I've been active on through the years... sadly when a lie is repeated over and over people start accepting it as truth/fact. The video, dates, and aftermarket activity I posted makes it clear to infer that the
TRD exhaust is not Borla.
