It's not, but for a while there I was doing filters on 6 different vehicles. Just tired of it.

The AFe dry appears to be nearly as efficient and easier labor. Blow it out with a compressor or rinse it with water. No oiling necessary.

When we raced offroad, oiled filters were a complete PITA. Stopped using them and just bought a case of OEM replacements. You can bang out a clogged dry filter in the middle of the desert much easier then an oiled filter.
