I used self tapping screws to attach everything, but I'd like to redo it with a threadsetter when I upgrade the amps. The back has a 1.25" square beam wrapped in fabric, then hinges attached. The front pins are made from round 3/8" ID aluminum tube and mounted to the deck with a small C-shaped bracket. I found some funky 3/8" OD 2" universal clevis pins at HD that go through the shelf and into the aluminum tubes. The quick release pins are 1/8" from Ace Hardware. I also have some small compression prings (also from Ace) inside the tubes to preload the pins, this helps prevent the whole thing from flexing, bouncing, creaking, or rattling. It works, but I'm not happy with it all and really want to find a more elegant solution... You can only see the backside of the hinges when the back seat is collapsed.
