Police-"Did you hear gun shots? Was the driver holding a gun? Did see if the passenger fired any bullets... anything?!?!"
Witness-"mmm, I don't know... all I saw with this car drive by with those airless tires and flung a rock hitting him in the head!"
That has been floating around (no pun intended) for a years already and have yet to see it on the market. I could see different size sidewalls available based on the amount/angle of the shear bands and spokes.
The AMT technology is a good idea as well and hopefully this will obsolete TPS. If it's small enough and can float tire pressures without affecting any performance, I'm all for it. I'm assuming it's going to get and store it's power similar to the faraday lights.
