Can't take the first fatal step of making a performance mod. Most I'm willing to do is put in the 0.725 5th gear so I can cruise at 3200 instead of 3600 rpm (seriously, whichever engineer at Toyota decided it was a good idea to have a 1ZZ revving over half its rev limit on the highway, fuck you)

almost as bad as living with a 1.6 miata. while i know that none of us are immune to that slippery slope, there is just a little thought in the back of my head that says as long as you are using factory toyota parts, you wont get out of control. thats why i plan to do a 1.8 vvt swap even though it will end up costing about as much as forced induction. well that plus the whole reliability thing.
