3 forms of energy come out of the tail pipe. Heat, sound and pressure.
The turbine uses the energy from the pressure and absorbs a lot of heat, so it would seem logical that the sound at the tail pipe would reflect those losses.

the second you change headers the exhaust gets louder, plus I believe AVO's car on the vid has a muffler.
