Agreed that the 5AD wheels are way too heavy. However, it is not true that if you run 19's you will "scrape less" than running 18's.
When you get smaller wheels, you will get tires with a taller sidewall in order to maintain the same overall diameter of the wheel/tire. (This is to preserve handling characteristics, gear ratio, and also speedometer/odometer accuracy). For example, the stock tire size is 215/45/17, and when people go 18s (and wider wheels), they would often run a 245/35/18. (The oem tires' sidewalls have a width that is 45% of 215mm, whereas the 18's sidewalls will have a width of 35% of 245mm) In this case, the amount of your ground clearance doesn't change.
