It's called discipline, by babying it, it'll be better maintained. I bet in 10-20 years if you compare rides, he will have a nicer one then mine. Besides they can afford to do so. If I was in their situation, I will do the same. I will drive the corolla/rav4 or whatever ride in the rain (let the rocks bounce) and enjoy the FR-S/GT86 in nice crisp weather.

Driving in the rain yesterday, I heard so many rock chips, that broke my heart. I wish I still have my corolla lol, I wouldn't give a damn in the rain lol
