With the amount of work needed for an LS swap, it will probably only be done when there are cheap used cars being sold like with the RX-8/Miata. $22k+ for a chassis is ridiculous.
I am thinking that Subaru/Toyota should offer a version, at least in the future, that uses either the WRX or STI turbo engine. The chassis might preclude AWD but turbo should be doable  , depending on how much room there is under and around the engine and how strong the chassis is built. But I already know that they won't offer one at release and as few as they plan on building that anymore than one engine or one bodystyle would be too much for what they are doing. |
You know the 208 is an old motor? Why go 2L when the current engines are 2.5L? Everyone wants cubes anyway.
As for LS swap, this car is the next big king of drift! Plus the US guys are killing in the D1 with V8's.
Turbo kits are going to be HUGE with this car regardless!
