ya need to wash it every week,because ya really can't take a chance on the salt
getting into "hiding" places,and starting to do it's thing! you are correct in that the freezing weather helps,BUT it just SLOWS the process down,DOESN'T stop it,so why take a chance? for 20 bucks a month,it's worth it to me! flush it out as often as possible! ,just make sure you use a facility that uses clean water! some of these places just recycle,and the water "retains" impurities,
AND salt too!..just sayin'
