Can dealerships sway on the price? No. If Scion Corp. were to find out, that specific dealership would lose its franchise to sell Scions permanently.
The market-up on the cars is low too. Margin is about $800 on the tC, $100 of which goes to the salesmen, while the xB, xD is about $550, $75 of which goes to the salesmen.

I wasn't talking about if it were badged a scion in that example, I was talking about Toyota.
If its hot enough to back order for months at a time, you bet your ass they're gonna charge well over MSRP.
If that happens, then it would be better to be badged a Scion because they can't do that. Pretty much all I was saying.
