If limited supply and timing is of any concern, just visit one of the bigger dealerships in your area. They will likely let you place a deposit for a spot in line to pick from their first shipment. I did this with the tC, was second in line (behind one of the employees) and put my name down for black or flint mica. They couldn't guarantee that they would be able to get my colors on the first truck but they ended up getting 2 black, 1 flint mica, and 2 others (I think white). They called me once the boat was unloaded. I went with the flint mica, walked in, test drove, signed and left without any issue. I think the deposit was only $200, but I think up to $500 is reasonable. It was refundable as well (and should be since the supply will allow them to just move it to the next person if you cancel).
