It sounds like a muffled horn and it only happens when driving/shifting aggressively. My buddy has an FR-S and he heard the sound in my car and said 'WTF?' He doesn't have the same issue in his car.

LOL finally someone with my sound. It's like a wimpy horn going Hoot when you let off the clutch, not aggressive (in traffic), and only 1-2 or 2-3 never higher. And not too often for me, but at least a few times per trip.
My wife thinks it's funny. Shift, honk. Shift, hoot.
And I'm old, 6+ manual cars, 100K+ each never replaced a clutch. I'm smoooooth like an automatic.
