This more of an opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. I personally think you should be spending the money on something else rather then $25k+ on a new car at such a young age. Yes, it's new, fancy, fun, etc, but if I was you, I'd rather invest it in college or something till you know for a fact you'll be financially sound. If this has been stated and responded to, then I apologize for a repost.
Back to the car, I've never driven the Automatic so I can't comment, but I have heard good things about the tranny. Granted, it's not a manual, so you're going to get heat for it, but since I don't know if you know how to drive stick, you'll probably be offer practicing on something else first. And like others have said that I saw, you're going to get haters at school. People will get jealous, and might damage your car for "fun" so keep that in mind. But whatever you decide, good luck.
