Think about your current situation, go for a test drive, and decide from there. I was in a similar boat as you and after test driving an FR-S, I decided it wasn't worth the $20k or so it would cost after factoring in what I can sell my car for. Part of the reason for this is because I'm currently commuting about 75 miles a day, which would mean rapid depreciation for the FR-S, whereas with my car the big hit in depreciation has already occurred (and its a Hyundai so resale value sucks anyway )
