Have you gone for a test drive in the FR-S/BRZ?
What are they willing to give you for the Civic? And is it more than what you owe (being upside down sucks)?
How bothered are you by the little things?
Personally I dove in head first because I fell in love with the car once I drove it. I got the bumper-to-bumper extended warranty so it should cover the most of any potential issues with a first year car.
