As someone who will drive manual til the day they die, I'm actually impressed with on the CVT. It's noisy, I'll give the naysayers that. But, compared to a conventional automatic? What's not to like? Better economy, no shifts to feel, and it makes good use of the power available. I wouldn't want one in my sports car, but I don't think I'd complain too much if I had it in my commuter car.

I can't badmouth the Forester considering I sell it, but I do hope they update that gearbox, and soon. They sell very well just the same, but it's time for an update, definitely
