Playing devil's advocate here, I must commend CMOS for being helpful.
His argument (stating that Android/iOS devices can't be compared to PCs since they're all designed on PCs) got me investigating Android compiler/IDE apps. If it weren't for him, I would not have discovered AIDE, which is for all intents and purposes Eclipse on Android (they even share the same price tag
).
I think I now have a new side project machine of choice
