It does make sense that Subaru would be turning back to their 2.0L engines to replace their 2.5 linup aside from their heavier vehicles, specifically because of the mpg gains. If they can drop the 2.5 and bump up their entire Impreza / Legacy line 3-4mpg it would be a significant fleet mpg improvement.
