As for redline testing from the factory, they do that to a lot of other cars... if not ALL cars, don't they? Even expensive cars like the R8 have their engines tested until the exhaust glows red hot, running at redline for a good amount of time. That's okay, factory testing to redline is fine with me. It's the clutch dumping, gear grinding, drift-wannabe test drivers that would concern me.

yes! i am concerned about this as well! unfortunately, a LOT of people do not
care, and this raises viable concerns to a potential buyer,as to how the car was driven.

Everything in the previous statement might be correct, but who wants people to think, " What an asshole/irritant that guy is..."
We are all different and have different wants and needs regardless whether others find them rational. Personally I think the OP is a bit extreme, but the only one really affected by it will be him as he will have to go that much longer before he gets the car he wants even though there is one right there that 99% of buyers would probably take. Obviously cars aren't like food or drugs where they are worthless once the seal is opened. A vehicle can run for hundreds of thousands of miles. Thinking the car is "ruined" in 70 miles is a bit detached.
Now, if you would pay me enough extra I would gladly acommodate your neurosis. Also, you would be a major source of stress/frustration for many salespeople. I suppose the guy who "understands" will make the sale. And, get paid months later when the vehicle delivers (hopefully he still works there).

like you say, we are all different with differing points of view! thank god for that! factually, this keeps life from being boring! i would request that you refrain from playing amateur physcologist, because, like me,your qualifications
are lacking.i stand by my comments, you read them,if you don't agree,so be it!
