Well if you put i/h/e/flash and blow your motor and get denied warranty. Now don't go on a rampage about laws and have to show proof that is was the parts at fault, this is a hypothetical situation where after battling that you are still SOL.
You have 2 choices, 1) buy the new engine for like $4-5k(est) from TMC or 2) get a used EJ205 or 257 full swap for $2-3k, which are reliable til 380AWHP at least, but not many will need that power so 250-320RWHP will suffice and the motor will last a long time.
That's why us tuners.. enthusiasts are looking at things from the get go, we don't know if 170rwhp is going to be enough after the first couple months and you don't know if you'll get warranty issues, it's all about options man options.
