Its a love/hate relationship, but ultimately its one that you can't live without. I'm pretty pissed at my 86 right now (haaaaaaaaard starts, and studders during acceleration / over bumps, fuel maybe?) but honestly now that I've had it for so long and now thats its become so much apart of me (people can't imagine me driving anything else) I can't even think about getting rid of it.
There's something unspeakable about these cars. If it was any other car I would've gotten rid of it a long time ago with all the crap I keep having to put up with, but not the 86.
THAT is the ultimate test of the FT-86 imo. How well does it bond to the driver? The AE86 has so much personality (in terms of cars, of course) that you can literally become emotionally attached to it, well beyond normal means.
