I love having the manual not only because it is more fun to drive, but I am able to get the most out of every drop of gas. I like going fast just as much as I love hypermiling...current tank is at 38.7mpg over the last 370 miles...so awesome. Moreover, manuals are lighter, smaller, more simple, and are just kind of required for a sports car.

I'm sure the automatic is good, but it sadly isn't a true double clutch...just a torque converted standard.

more and more often autos are getting more and more effecient. its not uncommon to see the autos getting better gas mileage than the comparable manuals
