Personally I think if your car is in the shop for just a few days, and the dealer is actually trying to fix it quickly (i.e. overnighting parts, setting you up with a rental, etc.), you have no right to ask for compensation. Issues arise with all cars that cause the car to be out of service for a few days on occasion. Now, if your car is at the dealer for weeks then that's a different story.
