Both have their pros and cons:

Scion+ lower entry price
+ nice 5 Axis body kit available
+ unique front face and headlights resemblance to LFA
+ unique dash covering colour and tach as well as "T" motif everywhere
+ sporty seat look in fabric
-less extras

Subaru + more extras available
+ unique front face and headlights
+ unique dash covering colour and tach
+ alternate sporty seat look in fabric

I like the exterior look of the Scion better as well as the dash colour. However I could go either way, and gotten the Subaru and the onky regret would have been preferring the Scion front face and black dash. I used the difference in the $ to buy a few extras including the 5:AD kit.
