In a word, yes.

The global shift towards computer driven traction control for speed and automatic transmissions of any variety(torque converter, wet plate, DSG, DCT, PDK, SMG) is directly responsible for the decline of the driver's car. They take more and more away from what is the essence of a drivers car, you behind the wheel working the controls based on feedback from the car.
