Even if you are talking about advanced drivers racing advanced drivers, you would be talking about a fairly stock M3 against a heavily modified tc. Stock for stock, the tc would not be making any moves on any of the cars you mentioned with similar drivers.
Tires can also be a huge game changer. What can you tell us about the tires on these super cars the TC was beating?
Plus come on, the videos you saw were videos, on the internet. For all you know, it was during a lapping event with mixed classes or maybe even a warm up session. A guy at a Wintercross event I attended caged a mini van and beat a lot of the fwd guys, but he was a good driver. It doesn't mean the mini van was a race car.

Because I know them personally. Who said all the other cars were stock? So, now the theory is all other cars a tC comes across is stock? Just want to be certain which "reason" we are going with now. And yes, it's Advanced run group with Advanced run group drivers. There are no Advanced drivers even allowed to run in Novice group. Hell, you can't even pass in Novice group.

There are not many of these cars showing up to events. Like I said before, there are a handful of people driving them, and with the right driver and possibly some money invested, they can be competitive, but so can any other car. Out of the box, this is not considered a competitive car in any class.

Meh, if you consider bolting on a turbo setup, some coilovers and good tires to be "a lot of money" sure. I can't speak for California. I live in the South and have been on the tracks in my region.
That last part I bolded....Isn't that what it's about though? So, there is absolutely NO reason why anyone who proclaims to be a performance enthusiast, should belittle or hate on ANY one or ANY ones car because that's the platform they chose to build and have fun with. People like low trq don't seem to grasp that concept. And having been to many tracks, many people outside of the internet see it this way and welcome you. Come One, Come All..
Out of the box, it's a basic canvas. It's minus all the extra performance stuff those other FWD cars (MS3, Civic SI...etc) that are considered better, but is otherwise identical everywhere else (weight, dimensions, etc.)
I'm done replying now. Like I said, you can go search or just message me if you were curious enough.
