A simple bolt on turbo setup (3k dollars) at 8psi would put bus lengths on a 350z. 8psi is enough to walk all those cars you listed. You would have to start modding those cars then to keep up with the tC (which they already cost more to start with). Seen 10psi boosting tC take a Z on a 75shot. tC has the same suspension layout as the SI, just not as stiff.

All those cars cost more than a tC because the tC is minus the stuff those come with from the factory. If Scion had added that stuff from the factory just like those cars and made it the same price, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. But they didn't. There is no trim level and it's marketed as a blank canvas. Soon as you give it a little wake up call...it performs.
With a little work you could find a nice srt-4 acr at a decent price. With a decent tune it could be making 280 whp. There is no way you could build as competent and quick of a car for road courses out of a tC for as cheap.

Same scenario with a nice used evo 7, 8, or 9. To make a tC as quick as a bolt on tuned evo would take so much money. In fact it would be almost impossible with any budget to make a tC as quick as a nicely built evo.
