Yes, this should be removed for the AIRAID (and the other intakes that butt up against that piece, as far as I know).

No disrespect, but I think the best bet is to bring your own car to a dyno and have it tested vs. stock intake for some comparisons. There seems to be too much variability in these dynos, to do a vehicle to vehicle comparison. Best to compare against your own baseline so that all of your mods, ECU, atmospheric conditions, test conditions, and dyno are all equal.
