you're too hung up on power. you cant see the bigger picture. you say you can, but your posts and the perspective that it paints, says otherwise. i get that you WANT it to be a certain way. but if its not, you say its a failure. and thats where i disagree. your standards are WAAAAAAY too high. if it were that easy to have such a car, have you ever considered why other manufacturers havent developed a 20-25k turbo rwd lightweight sports coupe?

My standards are no higher for it than for other cars costing similar prices. And, contrary to popular belief, awesomely tuned bilsteins aren't any more expensive than poorly tuned ones, and there's nothing special about the suspension set-up at all. It's a standard Subaru set-up. And the competition already has bilsteins, so that argument doesn't really work.
I am not willing to pay extra money just to have the engineers do the job they're supposed to do in the first place. If they can't make a light, RWD car handle and feel good then they probably are in the wrong career - it's certainly not something worth paying extra for because it's a given. You're buying into the "omg its going to feel so amazing" hype.
And I'm not hung up on power! Jeez! I'm not asking for 300hp for christs sake. The horsepower figure is the only one that I'm worried about because the rest of the car looks stellar. A 2.0L engine making 200hp isn't going to have much room to grow in the aftermarket. I'd be perfectly happy with 200hp if the car was boosted because then I could easily up the power.
