I'm not about to start comparing the two, because they're in totally different leagues. My expectations for a $25,000 car and my expectations for a $50,000 car are not the same.

I buy cars to have fun. I don't have any particular loyalty to the TYPE of fun I have. Other vehicles that I'm looking at: SVT Raptor or a Wrangler Rubicon. I dont talk about those here because it's totally off topic, but I also happen to be an avid hunter and trail runner (as in on foot) so vehicles like that can support THOSE hobbies.
I could also dump money into my GTI instead of buy a whole new car. Drop in the AWD from the Golf R, mod the hell out of the engine, do full coilovers and new rims tires, etc.
I want to try something different tho, which is why I'm interested in this car.
