Germans cars having issues or the engine going bang?
If its about the motor.... Being a newly developed motor and also being a boxer which are known for oil consumption issues on past EJ motors and other niggly problems. My expectation is for something to go wrong. Especially having one of the first cars of the boat. At the end of the day motor isn't being built by Toyota. By saying the motor is going to go bang is a figure of speech. Expect the worse and you don't get disappointed lol
If its about German cars old bosses had nothing but issues with their 3 series to the point where the ECU failed on one of their cars and she was locked inside her car. In comparison we aren't having that many issues.
