Thanks, cool video.

Also, I think he went over 4,000 rpm's there........

Really now? How can you be so misinformed on something like this. Its common sense that they do that at the factory. Going over 4,000 RPM's is just a guideline so idiots dont fuck it up if they dont know what they are doing.

Probably didnt even bother going through the thread to learn something and uses the search function. If I remember correctly multiple people who are respected on this forum even reported the same thing.

And really now? Like I said this is all over the forums. It suprises me how dumb people can be. Its common/known knowledge that car are pre broken in before they are shipped out. Do you think they arent going to do that for quality control purposes? Break in procedures are their for the owner to make sure they dont do anything stupid. If anything does happen to the car it would be 100x easier for them to say that you didnt correctly break it in and blame you for that. It is for lawyers, they go over the drivers manuals and send it back to the company telling them to put this and that in the book. You really think they are going to put for you to drive it like you stole it for the first thousand miles? Also You really think they are going to release a video of a worker assembling a car red lining it for shits and giggles? If they check the ECU when you bring it in for say a CEL problem like so many owners on these forums and it says you red lined the shit out of it they have a reason to say that your warranty is no good. You think they are going to repair the motor for you when you fuck it up because you didnt listen?

A lot of shops who have BR-Zs never followed that easy break in procedure you dont see them reporting anything do you? You actually see them reporting they broke that shit in hard as fuck. Launching it, doing all sorts of things you might think is hazardous for the vehicle but unlike you and other people who are misinformed they know that cars are pre broken in before they leave the factory. Their is a difference between breaking it in hard and being an idiot. If you cant figure that out then I dont know what to tell you. Just because someone says it can be broken in hard doesnt mean for you to red line it 100 x a day. It is to protect ANY car companys asses when say a person who doesnt know better wraps their car around a tree and then to blame it on a faulty part. The lawyers can instantly say you didnt follow break in procedure if they check how you drove it in the ECU. Since you seem to be such an expert with the manual I am sure you know about the function that records your driving habits too in the ECU or car.

If you are so lazy you cant search google your self for a reference link and have to argue with people who knows this is common knowledge. Then dont do it and look for it your self you lazy bastard. It took me 2 seconds to find it on google. So instead of trying to look like a smart ass and making your self look dumb in the process why dont you give it a try and report back to us what you find. Instead of telling people who are much more informed on the topic then you what we should know. It is your choice to not listen to the 100s of people who know and shared that information with everyone. If you dont want to listen go figure it out your self cause we arent going to baby you around and look for a reference link for you when it can be done in 2 seconds.

All first model/year cars are like this. You tell me a production car that hasnt had its share of problems in first year cars. Nearly every single one that is affordable for the common person has their problems.

If they didnt break it in before hand then I guess everyones cars coming off the ships at the ports will be fucked but you dont see any cars blowing an engine because of that. .
