For those looking for a stealth approach, we designed this 7 function gauge/board for the SW20 Mr2 that replaces the factory clock board with an updated one that has the clock with 7 additional gauge options:
- E85 content
- Boost pressure
- Water temp
- Oil pressure
- Air fuel
- Air temp
- Voltmeter
Apart from the voltmeter, each requires a sensor as well
I pulled apart the clock on the FR-S though and no great way to adapt this board with out hacking up the clock, which actually is quite reasonable price wise from Toyota/Subaru so not the end of the world if destroyed. The easiest way would be to mod the passenger side of the clock assembly and get rid of the seat belt and passenger air bag idiot lights but again making this a clean install is not an easy task. But maybe someone more adventurous would like to do it.
I also looked at the cubby hole under the ac controls and the board will fit nicely if we can get a piece of tinted plexiglass to look right in that spot... we are experimenting with that now and ill post up some pics when done.
The design was done for turbo mr2 guys so not all of these sensors apply to the FR-S, unless you are boosted
We would entertain the thought of doing a group buy on one designed for the FR-S/BRZ if we had 25 people willing to do the buy... if anyone is interested pm me and I will start a new thread so as to not clutter this one.
