My belief is because they didn't run the dyno with a closed hood. The Injen isn't a CAI. But with the hood open and a fan blowing on it, it is. Oh, and because Injen bypasses some of the air past the MAFS, tricking it into running lean. This would be negated with an aftermarket tune.
