okay okay okay.... *trying to contain myself*
I PROMISED folks at Vortech I wouldnt say anything...so I cant!(so dont ask) Disclosure: like with Perrin, I am working with them as a tester, and no they dont need anymore cars just now so dont bug them (they have said they will ask for more cars as they need them).
I for one am glad I wont have to be with the many one man shows that have popped up, and many vendors selling stuff with no USA based garage, R&D or ongoing timely support.
BUT...here are some pointers they have already disclosed SO I can recap safely, you can read between the lines.
What is coming our way is very much worth the wait, and when you see it you will know why I have held out:
1-per their flier, SEMA is a big day for us all hoping to buy their kit, product delivery will be shipping soon after, so yeah, this is a very real offering coming our way by SEMA, not just a flier, not just them posting here. Dont quote me on the pre-orders, but would surprise me if that wasnt the case! saving my coin up for this!
2-Per their flier: they will be basing the kit on their advanced v3 blower, a very efficient design, and actually one they specifically came up with for our motor.
They own a fa20 car and have been testing this like they test all their other offerings, thru a legitimate proven test process, not putting handful of turbos the one man show guys that they weld up and toss out to the public to see how they do and call it R&D.
3-This thing will put out enough cfm to handle STG1/2 and any needs folks have for more psi. Its an amazing company in that they design different blowers to fit the same bracketry so they can virtually cater to any custom need that you can define, once they have bracketry for the car. That said, based on blower specs, the v3 is a perfect fit. Bring it! Im sold!
4-their kit will use Ecutek, and are a vendor themselves, so you will be able to buy the complete kit, end to end from them, and unlike many other vendors here, they dont sell kits without a warranty, so like it or not, you will have a vendor who supports you, and their product.
Big boys like Vortech will be reselling thru big boys like Perrin, and selling direct. It pays to wait for the bigger, more reputable shops to release proven warrantied solutions.
5-They arent teasing you, as the specs and PSI and ratings get nailed down, they will disclose same- the reason they have no specs is they havent nailed it down- as with them its always overbuild, underpublish=overwhelming satisfaction! This thing WILL dominate ...their kit retains all factory accessories, both performance and function, A/C etc.
As I get their prototype onto my car I will post pics as I am allowed...stay tuned.
