New as well
I've been wanting to pull the trigger on this for a while but was hesitant. Traded in a 2011 VW GTI which was fairly new as I had just traded in a 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. Went with whiteout and the upgraded stereo...and the 6AT. I know I know. Should be about 4-6 weeks for delivery, which is fine. I can wait well into the winter.
I got rid of the Genesis because of a need for 4 doors, and although it was a great car, the build quality was very spotty. I then sold the GTI because I realized I never use the 4 doors (was thinking I would need the extra doors and space for my 2 y/o daughter and another rug rat on the way...not so as we use my wife's CR-V for everything).
I've also really wanted to get back to a Japanese car. I've owed many Celica's, Prelude's, a Lexus IS, a G35 coupe, etc. I was also a project manager for Denso, so I was very involved in Toyota product development. I miss all of that, and can't wait get back to MY roots with this car! Very excited.
