that's basically impossible to weld to. I do a lot of intricate alloy TIG work and I wouldn't attempt to tack anything to that if I cared about the finish on the rims.

The weld pool would pop and spit trying to tack through the adonising and the remaining nut section would soak up enough heat to also damage the coating on the rims.

Easiest way is to drill out the stud, press out the remnants and install a new stud. They're only ~$3ish from Toyota/Subaru.
