The thing with the VW bus race is you dont have to brake for any corners except the Hammerhead and the 2nd last corner the one after the follow through. I couldnt do it at first either but I did it in about 3 tries after realising you dont need brakes

And yeh jump into the Seasonals you should be able to make an easy 1.5mil off the civic seasonals alone.
