Every subaru dealer parts department calls you a heretic and spits in your face if you don't supply them with a VIN number to order ANYTHING for your car. They HAVE to know it's a BRZ I think it's just lazyness or cheapness ordering blues for everything. Or they get your VIN and don't check the computer...
My dealer knows what filter is for what car and they actually had to order the BRZ filters in because I'm the first to hit the oil change mileage. I do make it a rule of thumb to either know the part number or look at the computer with them to point out which part I really need when ordering more complex stuff.
I used to order online as well but for anyone near Indianapolis Tom Woods subaru will hook you up just for being an enthusiast
