It is unlikely that your FR-S will run better for long with just a reset of the error. You may end up driving that Yaris longer than you would like to, I'm sorry to say.
If the error returns, I recommend leaving it with the dealer until they have the part and tell you that it's entirely fixed. You'll probably see that line of thought as you read through this thread!
