i wouldn't get your hopes up. in america, the original Z was the 240Z while the current Z is the 370Z. they have different names. thus, when you say "they're gonna make a new 240Z" it sounds like they're gonna make something more similar to the original.
HOWEVER in japan the 240, the 300ZX, the 350 and 370 are ALL known as the Fairlady Z. they all have the same name. to nissan japan the current 370Z already IS the modern 240Z. so this probably just means Nissan is planning to release the 370Z replacement for their 80 year anniversary. design wise it might be closer to the original but i kinda doubt it's gonna be that lightweight or displace 2.4 liters.
