Might be better aesthetically but it's a downgrade in a functional aspect. Instead of the wheel bearing the car's weight on the dead center in relation to the intended point for the hub/bearing (+48 mm), it is extended out creating a 15mm lever arm that increases load on the bearing. In the short term this is neglibible and probably better than the alternative of running spacers or neglecting hubcentric rings but it is something worth considering when shopping for wheels and selecting an offset. That's why we see STI wheels running 7.5 width +48 offset, TRD wheels running 7.5 width +46 offset, and Five Axis wheels running +45mm offset with wider 8.5"/9.5" barrels doing most of the job for stance/aesthetics.
The OP's original wheel choice is pretty damn ideal for fitment, performance (no super wide barrel adding weight/robbing whp),
and the long term.
