I didn't go to the media, but I will say that this is the kind of thing that happens when you don't take care of your early adopters.
I've ranted about this before, but your early adopters are your most important customers, because they're the trendsetters, and everybody
they know knows it. They're your brand evangelists -- I'll say it again, the true believers. They're your strongest ally when you're in a pinch. So, why would you screw them over? Is it so difficult to imagine that they could just as easily turn into your harshest critic?
I'm an engineer, not a marketing guy, but this is all so obvious to me.
