It drives me effing bonkers when I not only have to deal with somebody who isn't as smart as I am, but also insists they know what's up.
Point to the appropriate TSB and tell your idiot service advisor that the heads up play here is to get any needed parts on order now, and to bring the TSB to the attention of their most senior tech so that he or she can prepare.
I swear, nobody in this business does a bloody thing proactively. This isn't how you solve problems.
