Very simple: if you are planning to spend in this car at least 2 hours every day in traffic like this (5-10 mph average spped):
Then auto is the only option.
But I don't think you guys have such traffic anywhere in the US
So if staying 30 sec at a crossroad waiting for green traffic light you call "traffic" - this car deserves to be bought with manual transmission.
